Tax Assistant

Full job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Assistant to join our firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a fresher who is eager to build a career in taxation and accounting. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of Tally, accounting principles, auditing processes, GST, income tax, and TDS compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and maintaining accurate financial records in Tally.
• Support in filing GST returns and ensuring compliance with GST regulations.
• Prepare and file income tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Assist in TDS computation, deduction, and filing of TDS returns.
• Conduct basic audits and prepare audit reports under the guidance of senior staff.
• Reconcile accounts and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Provide support in day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP and MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles, GST, income tax, and TDS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
